Robert Powell graduated with an MA in Fine Art June 2008 from the ECA, I remember the quirky demonic drawings and was pleased to see them in the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
Powell has teamed up with Hadi Mehrpouya to combine his madly detailed drawn worlds with an engineered device – The Thinking Machine – which is operated by moving pieces across a board.
The exhibition can be seen at the Warburton Gallery in India Buildings until June 21st. And should be followed by a coffee at the excellent Artisan Roast pop up cafe on the ground floor.
