To accompany the exhibition – Stan Douglas, The Fruitmarket Gallery, 7 November 2014 – 15 February 2015, David Hopkins (University of Glasgow) gave the talk “Introducing Weegee”, covering the stark black and white street photographic style and possible motivations of the “enigmatic figure, credited with an uncanny ability to beat the police to crime scenes in post-war New York.”
