This year the Dovecot has 3 main summer exhibitions on until mid September :
Tumadh: Immersion, Dalziel + Scullion
An installation of figures in Harris tweed explores the relationship of man to the land. Complemented by a video projection the muted colour of the tweed reveals its vibrancy on closer inspection, much as the Hebridean landscape does.
Dazzle
Another packed exhibition of modern jewellery – from chunky perspex to delicate rough diamonds.
Australian Tapestry Workshop
The exhibitions continue upstairs on the balcony with a display of tapestries celebrating the connections between the Australian Tapestry Workshop and the Dovecot. The bright light of the Australian sun leads to some striking combinations.
