Just finished The Art and Archaeology of Ancient Nubia run by Emory University on the Coursera platform.
An 8 week exploration of Upper and Lower Nubia from the Neolithic through to Roman times accompanied by video lectures, interviews with archeologists and conservationists working on the sites and preserving objects today, links to books, websites and blogs with first hand accounts of what is being found in modern day Sudan. A fascinating experience for anyone interested in how culture and society emerged.
