Cyanotype on Glass

Cyanotype on Glass

The first couple of weeks of the Stills Alternative Processes class with Brittonie Fletcher covered the cyanotype and the variety of surfaces which the cyanotype chemicals can be added to. Modifying the usual mix with the addition of gelatine allows it to be poured over a piece of cleaned glass.

The example is only partially successful. Mottling has occurred, possibly because the plate was not used immediately and humidity corrupted the surface film.  However the film did survive the washing process which has to be very gentle to stop the film lifting off completely. Something to practice!
