Modern is on at the Ingleby Gallery from the 3rd of May until the 21st of June. Richard Foster draws from vintage snapshots and his own photographs to produce intensely realistic graphite renderings. Topping Out, an image from 1925 of workers at a German modern house having the roof completed, contrasts with seascapes of Saltburn-On-Sea where the artist lives.
