An individual exhibition at Dovecot Studios until the 19th of July, Barnaby Barford has subverted the staid porcelain figurine and contorted it to show the most base and bemusing aspects of the modern character. The darkly comic humour has Mary BBQ her little lamb on a spit and innocent bunnies leave a trail of blood as they wheel off a barrow of children’s heads.  A beautiful animation explores love, lust and the divisions of class in the china cabinet.

Not for the faint hearted or prudish, it will make you look at that Wedgewood or Meissen in a completely different light.
